When I first decided to write this article I went back-and-forth inside myself. Who do I think I am to write about politics? I don't really know much about the subject. I am not loyal to any particular party, as a matter of fact I don't know enough about the parties to have an intelligent conversation. I know the emblem for one is a donkey (Democrat) and the other is an elephant (Republican). Quite honestly I had to find the logos on the Internet to figure out which was which. What I am for is truth, honesty, and helping to make this world a better place.

Some people may be upset over my comments, while others may find humor in my naiveté‚. Sometimes being naive or uninformed can be a real blessing. For me that reason is not having preconceived or preprogrammed notions of what is regarding political parties. I do have a sense of what is real and what is going on inside of people. I am not presuming to tell you what party to be for or against. I am asking you to set your fixed opinions aside and be open to doing what we can in truly loving ways to begin to heal this world.

I believe that many political leaders feel like they know what is best for their countries. I also sense that if those leaders are on a genuine spiritual path they would be spending more time figuring out how to create peace and they would work together with other leaders towards a common good for all mankind. War is not the answer.

Given that previous statement I see many factions so engaged in their own personal and/or political sense of right that they have lost touch with a much bigger picture. The bigger picture is the people they are supposed to be serving. It would be wise for them to sit down like grownups and find a way to create peace among people from all walks of life. Yes there is always going to be dissidents and rebels. If the leaders truly want peace and resolution then they should stop being so narrow-minded. They need to realize that their way is not the only way and look for loving responsible compromise that will genuinely serve all mankind rather than just their own interests.

There are so many people out there playing different kinds of political games in almost every walk of life that I decided to add the definition of the word politics below. Politics and political games also flow into many other walks of life that have nothing to do with government. Some of those areas will be covered under other topics in the website.

My motivation for including the definition is because many people don't really understand what the word politics means. I know I wanted a bit more clarification even though I thought I had a good understanding of it. So many words have multiple meanings.

The definition below is from World Book Encyclopedia:
